Na sodišču v Avignonu sodijo Dominiqueu Pelicotu in še petdeset drugim moškim. Pelicot je svojo danes 71-letno nekdanjo ženo Gisele deset let omamljal in zlorabljal ter organiziral njena množična posilstva, ko je bila nezavestna.

"To sojenje kaže, kako je kultura posilstev ukoreninjena v družbo, enako nasilje nad ženskami," je na novinarski konferenci v sredo v Parizu dejala predstavnica ene od organizacij, ki so pripravile proteste, Amandine Cormier.

"Prekinimo zakon molka" in "Ne pomeni ne" so danes vzklikali protestniki v Marseillu, podobno je bilo v več deset drugih mestih, tudi v Parizu, poroča francoska tiskovna agencija AFP.

Zbrani protestirajo proti vsem oblikam nasilja nad ženskami, od spolnega in fizičnega do psihičnega in ekonomskega.

Francoski predsednik Emmanuel Mascron je leta 2017, kmalu po začetku prvega mandata, dejal, da je boj proti nasilju nad ženskami ena od njegovih prioritet. Sprejetih je bilo nekaj ukrepov, a po oceni nevladnih organizacij ne dovolj, piše AFP.

Zahtevajo sprejetje krovnega zakona, ki bi nadomestil sedanjo razdrobljeno zakonodajo na tem področju.
